When it comes to life as a student, there’s no denying the fact that it can often be difficult to get a great night’s sleep when sharing a house with others. From the housemate who insists on playing loud music until 2am every morning through to the late-night arguments after a night out about whose turn it is to do the washing up. Put simply; sharing a house is never easy!

To us, the standout point is the importance of discussing music and noise arrangements, especially when you’re needing to get a great night’s sleep! Be sure to take the time to decide what you, as a house, deem to be acceptable and when the cutoff point for anything which could disturb others should be.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to respecting others and their sleep patterns. If you know a housemate has an early start for a lecture or exam, do the right thing and be courteous of this.

Whilst there’s no denying that going to university is a time for having fun, it’s also a time to study and get a great education and we can’t highlight enough the importance of a good night’s sleep in order to achieve this and as well as the right pillows, duvet and a comfortable memory foam mattress topper, having a peaceful environment is right up there on the list of must-haves!
